Construction on the Broomfield Heights Improvement Project is Complete!

Unfortunately, due to weather, we are canceling our in-person event to celebrate the Broomfield Heights Stormwater and Pedestrian Improvement Project Completion.

The City and County of Broomfield is incredibly thankful to the people most impacted by this project — the residents and businesses along the project corridors: 3rd Avenue and all the cross streets between Garnet Street and Nickel Street. Your patience meant everything. This was one of the most complex projects we’ve undertaken, because we were essentially building brand-new subdivision infrastructure within an already developed neighborhood. For these residents and businesses, it was like living in a house while it was being fully gutted and remodeled — the disruption was real, and you felt every bit of it.

With this project, we delivered:

  • A completely new stormwater system
  • New wider sidewalks and a safe route to Emerald Elementary
  • Sanitary sewer pipe lining, adding 50+ years of life to that infrastructure

And, we are pleased to share that more than half of this project was federally funded — a tremendous win for Broomfield.

Unfortunately, due to weather, we are canceling our in person event to celebrate the Broomfield Heights Stormwater and Pedestrian Improvement Project Completion.

This project would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of an exceptional and collaborative team.
